The Russ Twinkies :)

I noticed that on my first post I put that when we saw that word "pregnant" I was the most shocked I'd ever been in my life. I think finding out we were having twins was my second most shocking moment ;) We knew going into this process that our chances of multiples were higher than the norm and Dr. P had also said before we went ahead with that successful cycle, that I had 2 or 3 good eggs that could work. So you would think it wouldn't be such a surprise right? Not so. We went to the Dr's office for our ultrasound and knew that day would be when we would find out just how many baby Russ' we were dealing with :) Nothing can prepare you for those words, "yep....there are definitely two little ones in there!". My first reaction was " that's all... right???" And thankfully there were just 2 :) John and I just looked at each other with scared to death faces and then just simply laughed! What else can you do??? We were just shocked, scared, excited and happy all at the same time! The happy part definitely has grown every day that we have to get used to the whole idea :) We tell ourselves everyday that we are lucky to have been given two special blessings instead of one! Not many people get that special gift and we are going to appreciate and love those little twinkies to pieces!

When we found it was twins, I cried and Bob fell back and hit the wall...he also said, "That's all right?". The feeling is quite natural but just wait til you can tell the difference between them in your belly when they move around and then when you meet them for the first time...that will be the best moment of your life!
