We started off the new year with a relaxing New Year's eve at Topsail and I must say, it was just perfect. Emily, Tate & Daisy joined me, John & Diggy :) We simply made dinner and watched movies...heaven. The first words I heard in 2009 (after my new year's smooch of course ;) were "This is the year our babies will be here!" and that was music to my ears. What's even better is that the day before I had a Dr.'s appt. and she said the girls looked just great and that they were both weighing in at 14 oz.'s. They are neck and neck in size and everything looked good. More music to my ears! I have quit working and started the nesting process...somewhat :) I've emptied out the guest room, soon to be nursery and picked the paint for the walls. Next week will involve lots of work in the nursery and I can't wait. I have started my registries and will hopefully finish that up in the next couple of days. Dragging John along to do that is not the easiest thing to do ;) We are heading to northern VA this weekend to see Jill, Bob and the girls and we can't wait! I will of course pick her brain about everything to do with being a mommy of twin gals and of course get some lovin' from sweet Kara and sweet Sydney. After that, I have my first baby shower at the end of the month and I'm so excited. This year has already started off well and it is definitely going to get better!!!

jolie!!! miss you so much. i often think back to eric's class and how i ate hardee's biscuits every morning and how much fun we had. man, i miss those. we don't have hardees here. i can't believe you and john are going to have twins... so awesome! and you are precious as always! i'll be praying for safe and easy delivery. hope to see you sometime! take care. love, whit
Whitney! Thanks soooo much for your sweet message! SO glad to be back in touch :) I was just thinking about our collage "class" the other day....what a joke?! But we had so much fun.
