Not bad right? ;)
After the shower was all said and done the bride to be and her mother decided to ask me to make cake pops for the actual big day. I mulled over the idea with my friend Allison before agreeing to do the job. This is when the discussion of cake pops started between the two of us.
We discussed that I made the cakes with the help of Betty Crocker and that the whole makin' a cake into pretty pops part was really my forte'. Well Allison makes an amazing cupcake...from scratch. I've been blessed enough to taste test a time or two and trust me, they are to die for. It was then that we had our ah-ha moment. It might just be a great idea to partner up and make some cake balls. Perfect combo right? Tasty AND pretty :) Obviously she would do the tasty, and I the pretty :)
We happened to have plans with each other that weekend that involved outdoor music, our families and the need for a small yet tasty menu. Well why not let this be our first go at these tasty, pretty pops?! So we did and I have to say...I think we are a match made in heaven :) Here are some pics of said pops....try not to lick the screen ok? :)
Allison's amazing lemonade cake

Now on to making the cake balls....
(with maybe a little taste testing here and there..shhh)
